Teaching the Community

The following resources will help those in ministry teach the Roman Missal changes to children and adults. We recommend that you utilize these resources to help teach the changes in the context of the Mass. These resources will help you explore the importance and meaning of Mass with staff, children, parents, and parishioners.

Come and See DVD

Come and See DVDThe ideal way to teach the Roman Missal changes that involve the Order of Mass is through an instructional Mass. Not all parish and school communities have the clergy available to conduct this type of learning experience. If clergy members are not available to conduct this instructional Mass, we invite you to use the Come and See DVD. This resource provides the opportunity to introduce the changes in the context of the Mass. The three segments of the DVD are meant to show the relationship between faith in everyday life and faith within our Church community, helping adults and children connect the two.

The DVD contains three segments, and the segment of Your Role at Mass reviews the Liturgies of the Word and the Eucharist. For a limited time, when you order the Come and See DVD, you will receive a free Leader Guide, which was created to be used on tandem with the DVD. The Leader Guide contains specific directions on when to stop the DVD and facilitate instruction and discussion.
