Being Peace-Makers

Reconciliation Activity

Activity Objective:

To learn to make peace when you or someone else is unkind

Lesson Outcome:

The children will understand that God wants us to live in peace with one another

Directions:

Discuss with the children situations where reconciliation may be needed. List as many as you can on the board—for example, speaking rudely, spreading gossip, excluding someone from a game.
Divide the children into groups.
Allow each group to choose a situation listed and determine a way to right it.
Invite them to share or role-play their peaceful solution.
List their various peaceful solutions on the board and encourage the children to use these to be peacemakers.
