I’ve written a number of books on pastoral ministry and catechesis, and I have several degrees to my name; but when you put me in a room full of eighth-graders, I experience the same ups and downs that every catechist faces.
I find that being a catechist is an experience of walking with Jesus – a journey. That’s why I started my blog, Catechist’s Journey, in 2006: to share this journey with fellow catechists, reflecting on the joys and challenges we face in our ministry. My hope is that by sharing this experience with one another and forming an online catechetical community, we can more effectively proclaim the Catholic faith to others and support the vocations of catechists.
I invite you to visit as often as you can to see what I’m up to with my eighth graders and to share your own experiences by leaving comments and questions.
Let’s journey together!
