Marketing Project Specialist

ABOUT THE POSITION
Loyola Press is looking for someone with proven experience in end-to-end project management, communication, and execution who can:

  • Understand how to execute projects including: scheduling, budget reconciliation,
    process management, quality, efficiency, effectiveness, and delivery deadlines.
  • Assist Marketing Director in tasks such as:
  • Developing and maintaining process documentation
  • Troubleshooting issues
  • Facilitating communication between teams
  • Track projects using planning software such as Sharepoint
  • Use reporting tools to analyze promotion results and provide insights that will help
    improve performance.
  • Provide audience list segmentation guidance based on internal and external research
  • Prepare competitive research and comparisons

ABOUT YOU

  • Self-motivated and also an adept team member capable of working with our dynamic communication group of writers, designers, and marketing team members to plan, craft and execute marketing projects.
  • Possess strong organizational and execution skills in order to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, able to manage own time effectively
  • Work effectively across departments in a professional, positive manner
  • Have a college degree in business management (MBA preferred)
    and 3+ years of marketing-project management experience
  • Understand Catholicism
  • Expert in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Want to live an active life in the happening city of Chicago

ABOUT THE POSITION:
Loyola Press is looking for someone with proven experience and success in managing email marketing operations who can:

  • Understand Loyola Press marketing objectives and translate them into relevant email marketing programs that support all areas of the business and achieve strategic goals
  • Implement and utilize advanced e-mail system (such as Pardot or Convio) to analyze data, look for trends and opportunities, and use metrics to guide decisions
  • Balance the ability to think strategically while executing multiple email campaigns tactically
  • Ensure marketing messages are conveyed clearly and successfully delivered in best practices form
  • Support the implementation of marketing campaigns, including creative design, data requests, newsletter development, and scheduling
  • Follow quality control processes
  • Recommend ways in which email can be used to support offline marketing efforts, contributing to an integrated marketing strategy for LP that uses off- and-online tactics in a coordinated way

  • Are experienced with all aspects required to execute comprehensive email programs, including customer acquisition, sales, retention, and promotion.
  • Possess strong organizational, execution, and analytical skills, extensive knowledge of email marketing, including email design and development, email KPI's, SPAM, and other operational best practices.
  • Have samples from previous campaigns to bring to your interview.
