Family Sundays

Activity Objective:

The young people will propose ways to celebrate Sundays with their family and parish community.

Lesson Outcome:

The young people should be able to express an understanding of what it means to keep holy the Lord's Day.

Directions:

Review the Third Commandment with the young people. Invite them to share practical ways they live it personally and with their families.
Brainstorm with the group ways of making Sunday a family day. Begin with what they already do and then invite them to come up with new possibilities. Write their answers on the board.
Make copies of the suggestions and send them home with the young people. You may also choose to create an insert for your parish bulletin or school newsletter.
