God's Loving Hands

Activity Objective:
To help the children reflect on how God cares for creation
Lesson Outcome:
The children will be able to describe ways God continues to care for creation.
Materials
  • Large ball or globe
Directions:
  • Ask the children to form a circle.
  • Show the children a large ball or globe and invite them to imagine that it is the world.
  • Explain that they will pass the “world” from one child to the next.
  • Have the first child gently place the world into the open hands of the child next to him or her.
  • As each child passes the world around the circle, he or she should give an example of how God cares for all he has created.
  • When the world has completed its journey around the circle, conclude by thanking God for all he has created.

Demonstrate to the children the proper way to pass the world to the next child.
