Group Prayer

To Praise and Petition God

Activity Objective:
To teach the children to praise and petition God
Lesson Outcome:
The children will be able to define the words petition and praise.
Directions:
  • Tell the children that they are going to pray together by praising and petitioning God.
  • Ask the children to first praise God. Encourage them to think of all of the things that they love and appreciate. Encourage them to share their answers.
  • Ask the children to think of something with which they need help. Encourage them to share their answers.
  • Conclude by reminding the children that prayer is an important way of communicating with God. Remind them that both praising and petitioning God are equally important.
