To Praise and Petition God

Activity Objective:

To teach the children to praise and petition God

Lesson Outcome:

The children will be able to define the words petition and praise.

Directions:

Tell the children that they are going to pray together by praising and petitioning God.
Ask the children to first praise God. Encourage them to think of all of the things that they love and appreciate. Encourage them to share their answers.
Ask the children to think of something with which they need help. Encourage them to share their answers.
Conclude by reminding the children that prayer is an important way of communicating with God. Remind them that both praising and petitioning God are equally important.
