Growing in Prayer

Activity Objective:
The young people will reflect on their responses to God's invitation to spiritual growth.
Lesson Outcome:
The young people should be able to define personal prayer.
Directions:
  • Engage the young people in a discussion about ways people their age pray. Write their ideas on the board.
  • Form groups of three or four young people.
  • Ask the groups to discuss what they like most about prayer and what they find easiest. Then ask them to discuss what they find most difficult about prayer.
  • Invite one person from each group to share aloud the answers of his or her group.
