Heroes and Saints

Activity Objective:
To show the children how saints are the heroes of the Catholic faith
Lesson Outcome:
The children will be able to tell how the Holy Spirit helps us follow Jesus.

  • Paper
  • Chalk or marker
  • Pens or pencils
Directions:
  • Arrange the children in groups of two or three and have them make a list of examples of heroes from movies, TV, cartoons, or comics.
  • Invite the groups to report and make a list on the board. Ask volunteers to describe where certain heroes get their strength, power, or inspiration.
  • Next, brainstorm a list of saints that the children know.
