Easter Activity

Activity Objective:

To have children view Easter as a time to spread joy to others

Lesson Outcome:

The children will create cards with the themes of joy and Easter to share with homebound members of the parish.

Materials

Construction paper
Markers
Easter and Spring stickers

Directions:

Have the children create and design Easter cards using the construction paper, markers, and stickers.
Encourage the children to use the word joy in their cards.
Collect the cards.
Ask your Ministers of Care to take them to homebound parishioners and nursing home residents.

10 minutes

Hints:

Write a few sample Easter greetings on the board. This will help ensure appropriateness and spelling.

Talk to the children about people who are homebound or who live alone in a nursing home. Explain how important it is to keep in contact with these people and that the children are acting in the name of all parishioners.
