New Friend Follow the Leader

Activity Objective:
For the children to learn about things they have in common by playing a game.
Lesson Outcome:
The children will understand that God wants us to make others feel welcome.
Directions:
  • Explain to the children that they will play a game to learn more about each other.
  • Start the game by inviting the children to form a circle.
  • Stand in the middle and give the children directions, such as If your favorite color is blue, touch your shoes.
  • Say the names of the children who are touching their shoes, and then give the next direction, such as If your favorite color is red, touch your head.
  • Continue playing the game changing commands and categories.
