The Advent season should bring feelings of joy and anticipation, but we often get so bogged down with cookies, parties, cards, and presents that stress is more common than wonderment. To help us get back on track, Vinita Wright, along with some of Loyola Press’s most popular and inspiring authors, will be hosting an Advent retreat on our Days of Deepening Friendship blog. Starting Nov. 30 and lasting until Christmas, we will be shifting our focus to preparing our hearts for the coming of the Christ Child.
What you can look forward to on Days of Deepening Friendship this Advent:
| Nov. 30: |
James Martin, SJ, will be sharing tips on going from secular to spiritual in our Christmas preparations and celebrations. |
| Dec. 7: |
Liz Kelly will share some insight on Advent rituals and traditions. |
| Dec. 14: |
Fr. Dom Grassi will help us find grace at otherwise harried Christmas events. |
| Dec. 21: |
Joan Wester Anderson will write about Advent as the season of hope. |
