Praising Creation

Activity Objective:
The young people will use Psalm 104 to reflect on the gift of creation and their call to stewardship.
Lesson Outcome:
The young people should be able to give examples of ways we can participate in the work of creation.
Materials
  • Bibles
  • Butcher paper
  • Old magazines
  • Scissors
  • Glue sticks
  • Black markers
Directions:
  • Invite volunteers to read aloud Psalm 104.
  • Explain to the young people that they will be illustrating verses from the psalm.
  • Assign each young person one or two verses. Have them cut out photos and words from magazines to illustrate the verse(s).
  • Have the young people print their verses on the butcher paper and glue their pictures below the verses.
  • Display the poster in the room and use it for prayer.
