Prayer Circle

Activity Objective:

To teach the children that God wants us to pray to him for healing

Lesson Outcome:

The children will learn to turn to God when they need his help.

Directions:

Tell the children that they are going to ask for God's healing through prayer.
Brainstorm with the children about people who are in need of God's healing.
Record the children's answers on the board.
Ask the children to form a prayer circle in the middle of the room.
Encourage the children to name one person they know or have heard of who needs healing from God.
Ask the children to present their intentions like this: "For my aunt who is sick."
Encourage the other children in the circle to respond by saying, "We pray to the Lord."
Pray the Lord's Prayer together.
Conclude by reminding the children that God wants us to pray to him for healing.
