Activity Objective:

The young people will come to value more deeply the gift of life and how to protect and nurture it.

Lesson Outcome:

The young people should be able to explain that the Fifth Commandment teaches us to love our enemies and to protect human life.

Materials

Directions:

Direct the young people to bring in newspaper articles that relate to life issues.
Have the young people glue their articles onto sheets of paper.
In the space below the article, have the young people write a letter to the editor or to a person mentioned in the article as they imagine Jesus might write it.
Invite volunteers to share their articles and letters.
