Temples of the Holy Spirit

Activity Objective:

To express artistically how we are temples of the Holy Spirit

Lesson Outcome:

The children will identify their bodies as gifts from God.

Materials

Directions:

Reinforce what Saint Paul says about our bodies in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.
Discuss what a temple is.
Revisit symbols of the Holy Spirit with the children, such as a dove, flame, wind, or others.
Invite the children to imagine how they are temples of the Holy Spirit.
•Instruct the children to draw a picture of themselves as a temple of the Holy Spirit.
Further instruct the children to surround their temples (themselves) with images of the sacraments that help us in our daily lives.
Encourage the children to share their creations.
