The Devil Made Me Do It

Activity Objective:
To define temptation
Lesson Outcome:
The children will share practical ways to fight temptation.
Materials
  • Index cards
  • Pens or pencils
Directions:
  • Give each child an index card.
  • Ask the children to draw a small circle face with a frown in the upper left-hand corner and then to write a situation that could be a cause of temptation for a child their age.
  • Collect the cards.
  • Distribute one card to each child. (It's OK if a child gets his or her own card back.)
  • Direct the children to turn the cards over and draw a small circle face with a smile in the upper right-hand corner. On the smiley side of the card, they should write some advice as to how to handle the temptation.
  • Choose volunteers to read their cards to the class.
Learning Styles:

Approximate Time:
10 minutes
Hints:
Remind children that as always they should give good Christian advice.
