Titles of Jesus

Activity Objective:
The young people will reflect on why the titles we use for Jesus are appropriate.
Lesson Outcome:
The young people should be able to describe some of the various images that the New Testament teaches us about Jesus.
Materials
  • Paper, pencils
  • Chalkboard
Directions:
  • Brainstorm with the group the titles we use for Jesus. (Christ, Lord, Suffering Servant, Bread of Life) Write these on the board.
  • Next, ask the group what each title reveals about Jesus.
  • Direct the young people to choose their two favorite titles and to write reflectively about why these titles speak to them.
  • Invite volunteers to share their reflections.
