Titles of Jesus

Activity Objective:

The young people will reflect on why the titles we use for Jesus are appropriate.

Lesson Outcome:

The young people should be able to describe some of the various images that the New Testament teaches us about Jesus.

Materials

Directions:

Brainstorm with the group the titles we use for Jesus. (Christ, Lord, Suffering Servant, Bread of Life) Write these on the board.
Next, ask the group what each title reveals about Jesus.
Direct the young people to choose their two favorite titles and to write reflectively about why these titles speak to them.
Invite volunteers to share their reflections.
