STREAM stands for science, technology, religion, engineering, arts, and mathematics. The STREAM approach to curriculum integration reflects the interconnectedness of ourselves and our world with the Catholic faith. STREAM projects and curriculum integration are emblematic of the academic rigor for which a Catholic-school education is known. This approach helps build the skills children will need to succeed in a workforce that increasingly demands competency in the areas of science, math, and technology while highlighting Catholic values.
The Finding God: Our Response to God’s Gifts® STREAM project-based activities invite children to use all six curricular areas of STREAM as part of a small-group project in each unit. Rubrics for these projects define the performance criteria for each facet of STREAM so children and teachers know what a quality project looks like.
