Levels of Instruction

Adaptive Finding God provides two different levels of instruction, the Hands-On Level and the Adapted Grade Level. The catechist or teacher will work with the parents and the program coordinator to choose the level and setting that is right for the child.

The Hands-On Level, with its Lesson Cards and Learning Tools, is ideal for a child who benefits from catechesis in a one-on-one setting for whom identifying by grade level is not important.

The Adapted Grade Level includes charts that show modifications for the Finding God Grades 1–8 core curriculum. This level works well for children who experience faith formation in a typical setting but require lesson modifications that make ideas more concrete and are presented in a multisensory way. This level also uses the Loyola Learning Tools™.
