CHICAGO, Ill, November 2019—Loyola Press has been awarded a Top Workplace 2019 honor by the Chicago Tribune. This is the first year Loyola Press has received this award.
The Jesuit publisher was recognized by the Chicago Tribune for its dedication to the company mission. Award winners were chosen through an employee feedback survey measuring several aspects of company culture.
“We are thrilled to be counted among Chicago’s top workplaces this year,” said Joellyn Cicciarelli, President and Publisher of Loyola Press. “Our employees set the tone and make Loyola Press a truly great place to work. To see their dedication to mission, creativity and talent, work ethic, and team spirit is inspiring. We’re set apart from other publishers, not just in our offerings, but in the spirit in which we build them, which is in the spirit of gratitude, kindness, and collaboration.”
Founded in 1912 by Father William P. Lyons, SJ, Loyola Press has served more than 40 million children and adults as they seek to grow academically, personally, and spirituality for over 100 years. With inspiration from St. Ignatius of Loyola, the award-winning company has developed a variety of faith formation programs, highly-regarded English Language Arts and Latin programs, and over 600 spirituality trade books in circulation, including two New York Times Bestsellers (Dear Pope Francis and The Gift of Peace).
The Top Workplace awards were announced at the annual ceremony at Soldier Field on November 7 and released in the Top Workplace issue of the Chicago Tribune on November 8. The event celebrated large, mid-size, and small companies. The Chicago Tribune is celebrating its 10th year of honoring Chicagoland top workplaces.
