God's Dream for the World

A Reflection by Jordan Denari

As is written in the Acts of the Apostles, the deep desires within me are bits of God’s dream that He has “poured upon my flesh.” My personal passion is working to strengthen interreligious understanding between Christians and Muslims. Recognizing that this desire is a small yet crucial part of God’s broader vision of peace and solidarity for the world, I must constantly cultivate this desire, acknowledging that God’s Kingdom cannot be built, as Teresa of Avila says, without my participation in the process:

Christ has no body now, but yours. No hands, no feet on earth, but yours. Yours are the eyes through which Christ looks compassion into the world.
