Before you begin your retreat, pause for a few moments and focus inward. Take three deep breaths, relax, and recognize that you are in the loving presence of God, who is with you as you continue your journey of spiritual growth.

Peace is an action, an attitude, and most of all, a gift from Jesus. The Ten Commandments, the Beatitudes, and the life of Jesus help us know what to do to live in God's peace and in peace with one another. Worry and fear can intrude on our lives and prevent us from knowing God's peace. It helps to remember each day to entrust ourselves to God's protection and care.
