Director of Curricula Development

ABOUT THE POSITION

Loyola Press, a Chicago-based Catholic publisher is seeking a Director of Curricula Development, to lead in the development and execution of curriculum product and services for preschool through grade 12.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Provide leadership to ensure all curriculum product development and strategies respond effectively to customer needs and apostolic goals.
  • Maintain revision cycle schedules and new product execution plans.
  • Develop, recommend, and execute an annual curricula development budget.
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed.
  • Represent Loyola Press and the product line to internal and external customers.

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will have a college degree or higher in English or other applicable area and a minimum of 5 years management experience in educational publishing with a proven track record of developing successful products. He/she will have a solid understanding of the Catholic faith, a desire to serve, and be able to work in a collaborative environment. The candidate must have strong initiative and execution skills, and the ability to face challenges and problem solve collaboratively and strategically. Familiarity with Ignatian Spirituality a plus. This is a Chicago-based position. Prior experience on nonprofit organizations, teaching, or religious publishing a plus.

Educational Consultant

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are seeking an Educational Consultant (Sales Representative) to be responsible for faith formation and curriculum sales to parishes and in Catholic schools in dioceses in New York.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Represent Loyola Press as a company who clearly sees God at work in the world -- through our work.
  • Establish and maintain regular contact with parish DREs, Catholic school principals, and archdiocesan staff.
  • Achieve annual sales goals.
  • Conduct professional product presentations in person, at exhibits, at various archdiocesan and regional events, and through webinars and phone presentations for our Faith Formation curriculum, Language Arts resources, and Sacramental Preparation materials.
  • Maintain up-to-date, accurate customer relationship management tool records for every account in the assigned dioceses in New York.

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will have a B.A. in Religious Education, Theology, Education, or related field, and a minimum of 3-5 years' pastoral, catechetical, or parochial school ministry experience. He/she will have a solid understanding of the Catholic faith, a desire to serve, and be able to work in a collaborative environment. The candidate must have the ability to share the Loyola Press brand with passion, persuasion, and enthusiasm. Prior business experience a plus.
