WEB DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

ABOUT THE POSITION:
Manage web developer team to create, design, support, and maintain all web based front and back end applications.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages web developer team to ensure they are executing assigned projects in an effective and timely way to deliver accurate and quality results.
  • Partners with the Technology Services Executive Project Manager on all web application projects to ensure they are properly scheduled and resources assigned.
  • Collaborates with marketing and new product development teams to understand and solve their web application needs, including maintaining and modifying existing applications along with creating approved new applications.
  • Ensures that all web based applications are functional and up to date. This includes blogs, web integration components, Chapels, mobile applications, web databases, and internal web applications such as the daily billing integration, manufacturing database, digital curriculum, and video portal.
  • Identifies application weaknesses and recommends solutions that utilize the most efficient and current technologies to improve the application.
  • Creates and maintains data integration components used by SL, Salesforce, and loyolapress.com web site. Ensures these data integration components are available and functioning properly.
  • Wireframes, codes, and tests new application builds.
  • Responsible for the management of web server infrastructure, both external and internal, encompassing traditional and cloud-based technologies.
  • Writes clear, concise, and complete documentation on all changes to existing applications and new builds.
  • Partners with external technology support vendors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous team management experience.
  • Expert level expertise with PHP and Javascript.
  • Experience with managing an AWS platform.
  • Experience with relational databases (MSSQL & MySQL)
  • Experience with JQuery, CSS, AJAX
  • Experience with large-scale web sites and applications.
  • Experience with version control software (Subversion, Git, etc.)
  • Experience with web service APIs.
  • Working knowledge of DNS, A records, CNAMES, etc.

We are seeking an Educational Consultant (Sales Representative) to be responsible for faith formation and curriculum sales to parishes and in Catholic schools in assigned dioceses near San Francisco and Washington areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Achieve annual sales goals.
  • Establish and maintain regular contact with parish DREs, Catholic school principals, and archdiocesan staff.
  • Provide in-depth presentations and trainings on all Loyola Press curriculum products, including our digital offerings, through various methods (webinar, small group presentations, and workshops).
  • Maintain up-to-date, accurate customer relationship management tool records for every account in the assigned dioceses near San Francisco and Washington areas.
  • Represent Loyola Press through attendance and presentations at assigned local exhibits, diocesan meetings, and regional or national shows.

ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate must have:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-5 years sales experience
  • Familiar with PowerPoint, Excel, Word and SalesForce or other CRM systems
  • Must be comfortable with cold calling, personal appointments, as well as group presentations
  • Solid understanding of the Catholic faith

Achieve curriculum revenue goals through the creation and execution of marketing plans that respond to the competitive market, meet customer demands, and align with company strategy

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and execute results-driven integrated print, e-mail, and social campaigns by market segment
  • Deliver customized product presentations for a variety of audiences and purposes.
  • Participate in positioning meetings to focus product and brand messaging, using that messaging consistently in catalogs, online, emails, and direct mail
  • Research and analyze customer needs, sharing outcomes about key trends, threats, and opportunities
  • Train Sales Team
  • Manage and execute territory specific marketing plans in collaboration with Regional Sales Manager(s), in consultation with the Marketing Director
  • Monitor weekly sales reports to assist in answering Educational Consultant queries, develop sales tools and collateral, and text to effectively talk about/sell our faith formation, sacramental preparation, and language arts programs

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 to 5 years marketing experience
  • Proven ability to motivate and train individuals
  • Stellar communication skills: listening, writing, and speaking
  • Strong planning, analytical and strategic thinking skills

We are seeking a multi-talented, energetic and organized Sales Assistant responsible for supporting sales initiatives and daily activities related to customer accounts, product communications, and product service support.

This is an entry level position for a person seeking a career in Sales (minimum 1 year experience required).

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage CRM data
    • Turn raw data into meaningful and useful reports to reveal sales/operational performance.
    • Best practices and training for Salesforce as needed.
    • Assist Sales Team in creating and executing campaigns in Salesforce.
  • Department administrative support
    • Support operational logistics of sales meetings and activities.
    • Prepares and implements projects that support the sales organization.
    • Maintain hands-on familiarity with how to use Loyola Press digital products/apps, providing training to Sales Team and customers.

Position Requirements:

Responsible for day-to-day project management including: overseeing execution of approved projects, scheduling, budget reconciliation, consistent process management, quality and efficiency, measurement/effectiveness, and delivery deadlines.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain annual budget by:
    • Working with Sales and Marketing VP, Directors, and Managers to combine plans into one master document and confirming that plans align with selling cycle
    • Reconciling monthly actuals, building accurate expenditure forecasts
    • Sharing information with stakeholders
  • Maintain marketing promotion plan documents, including schedules across the department, keeping note especially of annual promotions, exhibits and Sales cycle.
  • Build consistent processes by working with Marketing Curriculum and Trade Managers to ensure responsibilities, expectations, project scope, schedules, and budget are understood and performed
  • Supervise operations staff including conducting weekly check-in meetings
  • Assist in hiring and coordinating freelancers as needed to support Curriculum and Trade needs

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Print/eBook Production Artist

ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking a production artist who will build and produce print and digital books for the Trade department using XML and InDesign workflows.
This is an entry to mid-level position for a person seeking a career in print and digital publishing.
This position is available immediately.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Code and ingest trade book manuscript into XML
  • Create styling using CSS for print and eBooks in XML
  • Prepare art for print and digital publications using Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Style pages and implement copyediting and layout changes as requested by editors
  • Pour manuscript into InDesign templates to project specifications and prototypes
  • Export reflowable and fixed layout eBooks from InDesign
  • Create PDF files with print-ready specifications that meet best practices and industry standards

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts, print production
  • Experience in InDesign
  • Knowledge of graphic production software Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat), Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word)
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Willingness to learn about new electronic publishing technologies

DESIRABLES

  • Knowledge of coding; XML, XHTML, HTML5, CSS
  • Experience with eBook reflowable/fixed layout export and production from XML or InDesign
