ABOUT THE POSITION
The Staff Accountant position is responsible for all aspects of the accounts payable process, routine accounting and general ledger activities to support accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining the royalty reporting database. This role is hybrid position based in Chicago with two days scheduled onsite each week.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Process vendor invoices and credits on a daily basis
- Maintain accounts payable vendor database and manage vendor inquiries
- Maintain and reconcile fixed asset database
- Track and report unclaimed property
- Reconcile and import corporate credit card expense on a monthly basis
- Maintain royalty database and assist with cycle close activities and periodic reporting
- Perform period close activities, including posting of standard journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with annual 1099 reporting
- Assist with the annual financial statement audit requests and inquiries related to responsibilities
- Other projects and duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Independently manage task and projects
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Knowledge of accounting regulations and general ledger functions
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 year’s experience in accounting
- PC proficient with intermediate Excel and Word skills
- Proficiency in other Microsoft Office tools, including Teams
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus, but not required

ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking a Louisiana or Texas area based Educational Consultant (Sales Representative) to be responsible for faith formation and curriculum sales to Catholic parishes, schools, and dioceses. The candidate will also be responsible for private and public schools when appropriate.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Represent Loyola Press as a company who clearly sees God at work in the world—through our work, products and service.
- Establish and maintain regular contact with parish Directors of Religious Education, School Principals, Pastors, and Diocesan staff within a specific geographic territory.
- Achieve annual sales goals through customer retention efforts and new business development.
- Provide in-depth presentations and trainings on all Loyola Press curriculum products, including our digital offerings, through various methods (webinar, small group presentations, and workshops).
- Maintain up-to-date, accurate customer relationship management tool records for every account in the assigned dioceses.
- Work independently and remote to facilitate the needs of customers, prospects and Loyola Press as you strive to achieve annual sales goals using all communication methods as needed – in person, email, phone, video, etc.
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate must have:
Associates/Bachelor’s or related experience, minimum 2–5 years sales, parish/school leadership or related experience, have history of success with customers and proven ability to grow revenue or influence behavior, ability to engage clients quickly and develop rapport with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, ability to use PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Salesforce or other CRM system helpful, must be comfortable with cold calling, in-person appointments, as well as group presentations, solid understanding of the Catholic faith, and be able to work in a collaborative environment, ability to share the Loyola Press brand.
