Dr. Dora Tobar

Married with two children, Dr. Dora E. Tobar holds a doctorate in Dogmatic Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. Dora Tobar has over 35 years of experience as a Theologian and Pastoral Minister, teaching at the University and parish levels, directing spiritual retreats, and creating resources for families.

Dr. Tobar is creator and promotor of the program The Happy Couple and has been a consultant for family pastoral programs at the US Conference of Catholic Bishops. She is also co-author of the Catholic Faith and Family Bible (Spanish Version), and editor and co-author of the USCCB website for the Hispanic family www.portumatrimonio.org. Dr. Tobar has developed family formation materials, including the program Forming Ministers of God: Catholic Parenting in the Catholic Church. Dr. Tobar is also a speaker at the national and international level and a member of SCALA (Sociedad de Catequetas Latinoamericanos).

Currently, Dr. Tobar holds the position of Director of Family Life and Hispanic Ministry Office at the Diocese of Lafayette in Indiana.
