Advent Attitudes

Advent is a season of hope—something our world desperately needs. To live as a person of hope is to behave in such a manner as to draw suspicion for violating worldly norms. And yet, our hope is solidly grounded in the reality that a light has indeed shone in the darkness. This behavior of living as a person of hope is characterized by nine tendencies or attitudes.

Spend a few moments each day of Advent exploring these attitudes with Joe Paprocki, DMin, in our special e-mail series. The messages also include suggestions for further exploration of Advent themes through additional online articles and prayers.

The series is inspired by Paprocki’s book, Under the Influence of Jesus: The Transforming Experience of Encountering Christ. Order your copy at the special price of $12 at store.loyolapress.com.*

Sign up to receive the daily messages beginning the First Sunday of Advent, November 27, 2022, through Christmas. The messages will come from the Year in Our Church from Loyola Press.
