Which American Saint Are You? Lesson Plan with Posters and Prayer Cards

When we learn about the saints, we must remember that they were ordinary people just like us. Like us, the saints had to figure out who they were in the eyes of God and then live out that vision. They give us examples of how people dedicate their lives to God. Learning from them, we can figure out how to dedicate our lives to God, each in our own way. We can use each saint’s life as a model for living as God wants us to live.

Help young people learn about selected North American saints and learn how to recognize holiness in themselves and others with the use of the Which American Saint Are You? lesson plan. Based on the popular online quiz of the same name, the lesson plan invites you and your group to explore the qualities of saints and holy living in the real world. The lesson plan incorporates the online quiz and includes a saints poster and prayer cards, plus a fill-in poster to record saints quiz results.

  1. I like this lesson.
Is it me or is the online game link no longer valid?
I clicked it from your post and also from the Loyola site and got nothing.
    Thanks

    • Theresa, please fill out the form in the post above, and you’ll receive an e-mail with a link to the lesson plan. Enjoy!

  2. Fabulous!!!! I used it with my 4th and 5th graders. They were so enthusiastic about their saint. One student asked for information on how to access this website at home. A mother of one of my students mentioned that this was all her son talked about when he got home. I sent the information on how the students’ families could look this up, so other family members could take it. A couple of students checked out biographies of their saints. Please develop more of these.

  3. I can’t find the form but am really interested. I also couldn’t get the link for the quiz to work. Thanks for your help!

    • Hi Sara. The “form” is really just a box in which to fill in your email and then click Submit and it will be emailed to you!
