Baptism Farmer in the Dell

To play a game showing that we join God's family at Baptism

The children will understand that we become part of God's family at Baptism.

• Ask if any of the children have ever played the game "The Farmer in the Dell."
• Remind the children that during the game, the farmer picks other people to join him or her in the center of the circle. Say: During our game, someone will be picked to stand in the middle and start the game. We will pretend that person is God. As we sing the verse, God selects the first person to join his family in the center of the circle.
• Say: Next, that person selects someone else to join God's family until everyone has been picked.
• The words to the song follow.

At Baptism, _______ comes,
We join God's family.
