Healing Role-Plays

To help the children understand that we can be like Jesus and help those who are in need

The children will be able to describe ways that Jesus showed his love for everyone.

• Construction paper
• Pencils

• Tell the children that they are going to perform healing role-plays that show how we can be like Jesus.
• Review the situations described in the "How Can You Be like Jesus?":

A classmate is caught in the rain with no umbrella. (Share your umbrella)

Your father is fixing the front door at home. (Get tools for your father)

A friend from class does not understand the homework assignment. (Explain the assignment to your friend)

• Arrange the children in groups of three or four and have them think of a role-play to perform that shows people helping others who are in need.
• Allow time for the groups to prepare and then perform their role-plays.
• Emphasize how we can be like Jesus when we help those in need.
