Activity Objective

The young people will deepen their awareness of the process of making a moral decision.

Lesson Outcome

The young people should be able to identify the Eighth Commandment as the call to live in truth.

Directions

  • Lead the young people in a reflective discussion about how they learn to be truthful. (by the good examples of others, by their own practice of truthfulness)
  • Invite them to name people, things, or experiences that have helped them to be truthful. (family, friends, a book or movie, a song, a prayer) List these things on the board.
  • Let the young people share experiences of telling the truth or observing truthfulness in others.
