To expand the children's familiarity with the parts of the Mass
The children will be able to identify parts of the Mass referred to by their Latin, Greek, and Hebrew names.
You may hear some parts of the Mass referred to by their Latin names: the Gloria is the hymn of praise in the introductory rite; the Sanctus is the Holy, Holy, Holy after the preface; and the Agnus Dei is the Lamb of God. Kyrie eleison are Greek wrods for "Lord have mercy." Hosanna is a hebrew acclamation for "save, we ask."
If time allows, redistribute the cards and play again.
If possible, assign two children the same word so that they can work together if extra help is needed.
