Team Vocabulary Bee

To help the children define the words of the Lord's Prayer by participating in a vocabulary bee

The children will understand and define the words in the Lord's Prayer.

• Index cards

• Tell the children that you are going to divide the group into two teams.
• After dividing the group, have them sit in two lines opposite each other.
• Have the first child in each line stand up to tell the meaning of the first word. Whoever raises his or her hand first and gives the correct definition gets a point for his or her team.
• If the first child doesn't answer correctly, the other team gets to give their answer.
• The team with the most points is the winner.

Logic/Math Smart

Write one word on each index card: heaven, hallowed, kingdom, trespass, temptation, evil, amen.

You may wish to include other vocabulary words from the past sessions such as angels, Christmas, Holy Family, Mary, Joseph, Bethlehem, prayer, Holy Spirit,Trinity, Bible, God, Jesus, liturgy, Mass, creator, or saint.

You may want to give stickers or some candy to the winning team.
