The young people will understand the significance of Pentecost by relating the story to their lives.
Lesson Outcome
The young people should be able to explain what the Holy Spirit did for the apostles on Pentecost.
Materials
- Bibles
- Paper
- Pencils
Directions
- Invite a volunteer to read aloud the story of Pentecost from Acts of the Apostles 2:1-16, 22-24, 36-41.
- Divide the young people into groups of three or four.
- Direct them to imagine themselves to be a news crew from a local TV station. Their assignment is to cover this late-breaking story.
- Have each group perform their newscast for the entire group.
