Writing to be Whole: A Healing Journal guides us to emotional and spiritual wholeness by teaching us how to write out our prayers. Authors Eddie Ensley and Robert Herrmann remind us that writing makes our problems tangible—and thus easier to hand over to God.
Designed to be a journey of personal transformation, this interactive healing journal employs the time-tested practice of spiritual journaling. Prayers, journaling exercises, personal stories, guided imagery, and space for writing are included.
Eddie Ensley is an international speaker and a Catholic retreat leader, known for making spiritual practices accessible to the average person. Describing himself as a "miner in search of the forgotten riches of the spiritual past," he conducts primary source research into the Christian, Jewish, and Native American spiritual traditions and religious history. He holds a graduate degree in theology and has spent more than forty years studying visions. Ensley is the author of numerous articles and three books, including Prayer that Heals Our Emotions.
Deacon Robert Herrmann has more than twenty years of experience in leading retreats. He is widely respected for his spiritual journaling expertise and his teachings on contemplative prayer. He holds a certificate in pastoral ministry from Loyola University New Orleans.
Visions: The Soul's Path to the SacredVisions shows readers how to reclaim a lost dimension of their spiritual heritage in this grounded treatment of contemporary sacred experience that pulls together church tradition, psychology, medical science, and the author's own research.
